CRIME VICTIM LEGAL NETWORK State Clinic Information
Since 2003, The Crime Victim Legal Network, a legal clinic housed within SCVAN, 
provides the following service on behalf of crime victims:

Constitutional Rights of South Carolina Crime Victims:

Be informed of their constitutional rights
Be treated with fairness, dignity and respect
Be protected from intimidation and harm
Be informed of, heard and present at all criminal proceedings
Be informed of and allowed to submit written or oral statements affecting bond/bail
Confer with the prosecution before trial or any disposition
Have reasonable access to documents after investigation and before trial
Receive prompt and final conclusion of the case
Have assurance that all rules governing criminal procedure/admissibility of evidence protect victims' rights.
Receive prompt and full restitution from the person or persons convicted of the criminaconduct that caused the victims' loss or injury including both adult and juvenile offender
