Legal Assistance & Information
SCVAN provides legal information and referral services to crime victims in the area of victim rights, eligibility for benefits
and civil legal remedies.
Thanks to grant funding, we can also provide free, direct legal services to specific underserved populations.
This currently includes:
- Immigrant Crime Victims
- Native American Crime Victims
- Survivors of Sexual Assault (Ages 11 and up)
- Survivors of Human Trafficking
Direct legal services include:
- Representation in Court Proceedings
- Family Court proceedings
- Restraining Order
- Employment Complaints
- Privacy Protection
- Immigration Matters

We conduct telephone intake interviews on Tuesdays.
Our program attorneys review all requests for services on Wednesdays.
If we are unable to accept your case, we will refer you to other appropriate providers/resources.
