Brett Macgargle called meeting to order.
Board reviewed minutes from previous Board Meeting. Minutes of October 20, 2005 Board meeting accepted with no changes.
No Financial Report was given.
New
Business
4 Committees met from September to November. 12/13 is the last day for prefiling. Numerous bills were left over from last year that either passed the House or Senate.
General Law Committee (See handout for bill numbers)
1) adds victims
2) 2) introduced previously by Senator Jakie Knotts. Brought by victim. Will be felony offense if predicate offense is a felony.
3) Addition of defendant = violent crime. Prior introduction by Knotts.
Question: add ABHAN? Not statute. Solicitors like it “non-violent” for purposes of pleas.
