The South Carolina Victim Assistance Network (SCVAN) is partnering with CarePortal to connect the practical needs of crime victims and their families with local churches and community partners ready to help in Sumter and Horry counties only.
Through this technology platform, SCVAN advocates in these counties can submit requests for essential items or services—such as housing support, clothing, transportation, or household goods—on behalf of clients with children. These requests are shared directly with nearby responders who can meet those needs quickly and compassionately.
Together, SCVAN and CarePortal are building a localized network of care in Sumter and Horry counties that empowers survivors, strengthens families, and supports healing within these communities.
