SC ELDER JUSTICE NETWORK
The South Carolina Elder Justice Network brings together agencies, organizations, and professionals across the state who are committed to preventing, recognizing, and responding to elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation.
Each year, in recognition of World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, network members work together to raise awareness, share resources, and promote coordinated community responses that support the safety, dignity, and well-being of older adults in South Carolina.
World Elder Abuse Awareness Day (June 15) was launched by the International Network for the Prevention of Elder Abuse and the World Health Organization at the United Nations. It serves as an opportunity for communities around the world to increase understanding of elder abuse and neglect and to highlight the social, cultural, economic, and demographic factors that affect older adults.
